Devotions 14-09-06

Prov 28:1
"the wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion."

What gives believers such boldness and courage?They know God is greater than the devil and that He is in control of everything. When I do what is right and put my trust in God then He will be my shield from wicked schemes.

The wicked do not have such an assurance. The devil does not care about them or anyone; he is only interested in destruction and his own selfish purposes. The devil uses people but so long as they follow his ways. He lies because he is the father of all lies. John 8:44

Lord give me boldness and courage to follow You and to accomplish Your work on earth. Help me to love the unlovely and care for everyone and share with them the great news of Your salvation. I want to obey You because of Your great love for me and for everyone.
